Bringing the sunshine from the Sunshine State, Rhiannon Anderson is the much loved MasterChef 2023 finalist. Not just a dynamo in the kitchen, but a devoted mum and doting granny. After raising her family, spending 18 years in finance and steering the family transport biz, you'd think there was enough on her plate… until her culinary dreams came calling!
In the kitchen, Rhiannon takes inspiration from Rick Stein, Clare Smyth, Gordon Ramsay, Matt Sinclair, the legendary Maggie Beer and Charlie Carrington's jaw-dropping menus at Atlas Dining. All about infusing global flavours into every bite, fresh produce is engulfed by her signature Asian-tropical fusion, delivering bold and punchy flavours.
Rhiannon's passion for cooking began by watching her mum, a professional chef, in the kitchen from 11 years of age. Sharing their years and love for food side by side, it’s no surprise that Rhiannon’s mum was her biggest cheerleader and the motivation behind her MasterChef application. Sadly losing her battle with ovarian cancer in 2021, making her MasterChef runner-up finish all the more special.
With her lifetime of love for food, knowledge and experience gained from MasterChef, Rhiannon has future dreams of opening a restaurant in Townsville, but is currently working on releasing a cookbook – think; Rhiannon’s signature bold and beautiful flavours as a three-course dinner party menu from all around the world!
Rhiannon Anderson is here to cook, conquer, and chase her dreams and we can’t wait to watch it all unfold!
